Who We Are

The ASTE department equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to address the challenges of the 21st century through our hands-on programming. Our programs in agriculture, business, family and consumer science, and technology and engineering education, community education, agricultural communication, and agricultural systems technology are ideal for students who have a practical interest in solving the challenges of tomorrow.

The department offers a diverse array of educational opportunities, including certificates, associate degrees, baccalaureate degrees, and graduate programs, allowing students to tailor their education to align with their career goals. Additionally, the department provides pathways for teacher licensure in agricultural education, business education, family and consumer sciences education, and technology and engineering education. We also house several support programs, such as Utah AgrAbility, Utah FFA, the National Center for Agricultural Literacy, and Utah Agriculture in the Classroom, further enriching the educational experience and supporting the agricultural community.
