Biography
Mark Lee-Koven is an interdisciplinary artist and associate professor at Utah State University, renowned for integrating art, science, and technology to explore environmental issues, including human-wildlife interactions. Through initiatives like the ARTsySTEM program, he fosters collaboration between the arts and STEM fields, encouraging innovative approaches to ecological challenges. Koven's work often involves immersive installations that engage the public in conversations about climate change and conservation, such as his "One Drop at a Time" project, which combines data collection, education, and art to highlight the impacts of climate change on marine and coastal environments.
In addition to his academic and artistic endeavors, Koven has participated in residencies like the Iowa Lakeside Lab, where he collaborated with ecology students to create art inspired by local ecosystems.
