Dr. Wang's research explores how greenspace design and urban forestry influence human health, behavior, and perceptions, with a focus on integrating ecological and social outcomes. In particular, she studies how biodiversity, especially bird richness, mediates the relationship between greenspace and mental health, providing insights into how natural environments support human well-being. Dr. Wang collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, urban foresters, and public agencies to develop evidence-based strategies that enhance human-environment interactions, promote sustainable communities, and foster positive relationships between people and wildlife.
