Sarah is currently studying the neurobiology of social bonding in coyotes at the Millville Predator Research Facility, and her broader research has examined how highly adaptable species respond behaviorally and physiologically to changing social and ecological environments.
Previously, she conducted research with wild white-faced capuchin monkeys in Costa Rica was conducted at a highly anthropogenically disturbed site, where she examined how high population densities, extensive range overlap, and human-modified landscapes shaped intergroup conflict and social behavior. Her current work with coyotes allows her to extend these interests to another adaptable species that increasingly shares the landscape with humans.
