Taylor Peltier is a PhD student in the Department of Environment and Society focusing on human-carnivore interactions. Taylor is interested in integrating social and ecological methods to address human-black bear conflict and provide effective management recommendations to improve human-bear relationships in Michigan. Taylor is part of an interdisciplinary team called the Baldwin Bear Project that is partnered with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Michigan State University. Before studying at Utah State University, Taylor received her MSc in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is broadly interested in social and ecological factors that shape relationships with wildlife and finding ways to incorporate the public in her research. You can read her publications here.
