Anyone interested in how his or her life and career might be enhanced through learning about planning and design will enjoy attending. Students from Art, Graphic Design, Performance Art, Engineering, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning, and Outdoor Product Development and Design are likely to be enlightened by this series.
BIO: Stephanie Grigsby, ASLA, AICP, is a licensed landscape architect, certified planner, and design leader whose work centers on strengthening the relationship between people, place, and nature. With over two decades of experience, she has shaped landscapes at every scale—from neighborhood greenways to regional trail systems and climate-sensitive coastal corridors.

Fundraiser
Join us on March 26th for a panel discussion and film showing of Ben Masters' acclaimed documentary The American Southwest, presented in conjunction with the Utah Wildlife Federation! The Colorado River sustains millions of people and countless species across the West, yet its future grows increasingly uncertain. Distinguished panelists Jack Schmidt, Sarah Koenigsberg, and Amy Wicks will explore what’s at stake for wildlife, ecosystems, and communities, and what solutions are within reach. This is an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue about one of the most pressing natural resource challenges of our time. Following the panel discussion will be a showing of the film The American Southwest, a family-friendly wildlife movie that takes viewers on an unforgettable journey down the mighty Colorado River. Proceeds from the evening support the Berryman Institute’s mission to advance science-based solutions at the intersection of people and wildlife as well as the Utah Wildlife Federation in its mission to ensure wildlife thrive in Utah.
USU Aviation Week - Helicopter Day

USU Aviation Technology will be starting off its Aviation Week with a helicopter landing on northwest corner of the quad at 10:20am. Come and watch the landing, stay for questions, take pictures, and then watch it take off at 1:30. Free to the public!

Aviation Week 2026 - Utah State Aviation Program Annual Banquet & Silent Auction
Breakfast/Luncheon/Dinner
Come celebrate the Flying Aggies at the annual Aviation Program Banquet at the Logan-Cache Airport. Join us for a big Flying Aggie Reunion Celebration where we will recognize our outstanding students and raise scholarship funds with any items you can donate for our silent auction. The annual Silent Auction has raised over $2,500 for our students nearly every year with donated items such as airplane models, discovery flights, historical and aviation-themed items.
All paid guests will receive the 2026 annual program coin! Dress is business casual (open-collar, nice pants/skirt, dress/coat and tie are optional).
We will have a guest speaker, celebrate our 87th Anniversary of Aviation degree at USU with a display, and have opportunities to fellowship with current students and alumni. We will be honoring our top students, faculty and staff, and announce some student achievement awards.

USU Aviation Technology Aviation Week will be highlighting the program that started it all at USU: AVIATION MAINTENANCE! Tours of our aviation maintenance facility in the USU TECH Building including the only jet engine test cell based at a university in Utah and in the region.
In the Industrial Science Building we will have tours of our aircraft simulators students use to advance their training, and we'll have a drone simulator you can try as well.
USU Aviation Week - Airport Open House and Tours

USU Aviation Technology Aviation Week will conclude at the Logan/Cache Airport with our Open House. You will tour USU Flight training facilities, hangars, and the fixed-wing and rotary aircraft we use for training. Students and staff will be available for any questions you may have. This event is open to the public.
WILD 2450 & USU Wildland Fire Club S130 - Wildland Firefighter Training Field Exercise

Learn what it takes to become a Wildland Firefighter as part of the WILD 2450 - Wildland Fire Operations course. Field Exercise is part of the ongoing S130 - Wildland Firefighter Training. One does not need to be in the S130 training to participate in the field exercise. Held in conjunction with the USU Wildland Fire Club and a number of wildland fire agencies will be helping with the training.

Watershed Sciences Graduate Symposium

The morning symposium provides an opportunity for our graduate students to present ideas about their thesis/dissertation research and to receive feedback regarding their plans. Your comments and insights are welcome and expected. We will hear from a good mix of MS and PhD students. Whether you are there to give feedback, support your fellow students, find out what everyone is working on, network, socialize, or are curious about grad school yourself, all are welcome! Hangar Hop 2026 USU Flying Aggies
Arts/Entertainment
1940's themed big band swing dance! Come have fun in an actual aircraft hangar. Live music, 1940s dress encouraged! The USU Flight Team hosts the annual premiere fundraiser on Saturday, April 18th from 7:00-10:30 p.m. The aircraft hangar will be transformed into a 1940's USO style Hangar Hop with live music provided by the Cache Community Big Band, huge 60' parachute hanging from the ceiling and a vintage aircraft to take your dance photos. The USU Big Band Swing Dance club will provide dance instruction at 7 p.m and their demo dance team has been invited to give a demonstration. This is a wonderful event to help our USU Flying Aggies raise funds to train and travel to their annual Flight Team Regional competition. The cost for the dance is only $15 per person. Dance lessons, photo opportunities in historic aircraft, and refreshments are provided.

Special Event
Climate Connect is an open invitation to participate, contribute, and take action alongside the next generation of climate adaptation leaders. This showcase invites local residents, partners, and organizations to learn about ongoing climate challenges and opportunities in our region—and to join students in shaping collaborative, community‑driven solutions. Graduate scholars from the Climate Adaptation Sciences program and undergraduate interns from the Climate Adaptation Internship Program will share the projects, insights, and climate adaptation work they have developed throughout the year.
