<bio>Dr. David S. Secrist has deep roots in Utah and has been around cattle and sheep since childhood. He graduated from Utah State University with his B.S. in Animal Science in 1988 and his M.S. in Ruminant Nutrition in 1990. He managed a small cow-calf operation for three years before finishing his education at Oklahoma State University where he received his Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition.

Dr. Secrist worked at Farmland Industries for five years where he worked with feedlots and large cow/calf operations in seven states. He joined Agri Beef, Inc where he worked as General Manager of a large feeding operation in Moses Lake, Washington. He was also involved in the transition from cattle feeding to integrated food business as Agri Beef entered the processing and branded beef arena.

He was offered an opportunity to join AgReserves in 2009 and was integral to the movement of a fully integrated beef supply chain, purchase of a feedlot, and value-based marketing arrangement with a major packer. Dr. Secrist has been involved in the management of the ARI feedlot, dairy and several cow-calf and stocker operations over the past 15 years.

Dr. Secrist has a great love for the cattle industry and is excited to work with beef producers in Utah. He and his wife, Julie, will be relocating to Logan where their lives together and his career started 40 years ago. They have five children and twelve grandchildren.</bio>
