Biography

Krysta is a USU alumni with a passion for designing landscapes that promote ecological health and biodiversity within landscape architecture. Her background in biology, art, and chemistry leads her with a desire to merge scientific knowledge of native plants with a keen eye for aesthetics and a deeper understanding of ecological processes within commercial and municipal landscape architecture.

Prior to pursuing landscape architecture, she developed design skills as a luxury wedding florist, working for nearly ten years within the field of floral design.

Her current research interests lie in native plant design, ecological restoration, and creating landscapes that support a thriving variety of life. She believes that beautiful landscapes can fit both function and aesthetic, merging aesthetic and biophilic design.
