Abigail grew up in rural New Jersey and became deeply involved in agriculture through 4-H, volunteering on local farms, and working at a large cut flower and greenhouse operation where she led community gardening classes each spring. She moved to Utah after being accepted into an NSF-funded REU program at Utah State University. She subsequently completed a BS degree in Plant Science at USU and graduated summa cum laude in 2024. During her time as an undergraduate, she managed the USU Student Organic Farm and worked as a research assistant in multiple labs, all while continuing to support local food production through volunteering with growers across Cache Valley. Abigail is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Plant Science and expanding her research and community engagement in sustainable agriculture.
