Description of taxonomy data fields we need to ingest taxonomy data from outside laboratory.

| Visit ID | Optional | An optional concatenation of site and date or similar unique sample-site-date value |
| Site ID | Mandatory | The name/code you are calling a site |
| Sample date | Mandatory | Date of sampling effort for this site |
| Scientific name | Mandatory | Raw taxonomic identification |
| Life stage | Mandatory | Adult, pupae, larvae, egg |
| Count | Mandatory | Final count identified from sample |
| Bug size | Optional | Length in mm if measured during processing |
| Big-rare count | Optional | Number of organisms identified in the big/rare search |
