Eric Behrens, M.S.
Eric joined UFRI after working for two and a half years as a fire effects monitor with the National Park Service, where he monitored the effects of wildfires and prescribed fires in the Southern Plains and Rio Grande Valley. He has experience monitoring plant community ecology in a variety of ecosystems from his previous work in the Northern Great Plains and the Great Lakes States. His primary research interests are restoration ecology and fire ecology, especially as it pertains to projects that build ecosystem resilience while providing fire risk protection to communities in the wildland urban interface.
