<bio>Bruce is pursuing an MS degree in Ecology and is advised by Dr. Clare Entwistle. His research focuses on using Floating Treatment Wetlands to improve water quality while enhancing waterfowl habitat. Results from his research will be communicated through Extension products to help inform stakeholders on how to manage FTWs in Utah to reach water quality and habitat goals.

Originally from Idaho, Bruce earned a BS in Environmental Science and Sustainability from Brigham Young University in 2024. During his studies, he also spent time as a lab assistant for the BYU Environmental Analytical Lab analyzing soil, plant, and water samples to assist researchers and local homeowners with environmental studies and land management decisions.

In his free time, Bruce enjoys birdwatching, playing board games with friends, and cooking new foods.</bio>
