inReach Devices (4 units available)

We rent out three different models of inReach devices. Be sure you are familiar with the operation of the one you have rented.
Ensure the device is full charged before entering the field.
Be sure emergency contacts know that they are listed as emergency contacts. Contacts should be in same lab if possible. Be sure your emergency contacts have your and each other's contact info.

inReach devices use the Garmin Flex Basic Plan. Please note that our plan for each device provides for 50 free text messages per month. Preset check-in messages sent do not count against the limit. Replies to preset messages do count against the limit. For texting beyond that limit, you may be asked to provide an index (50¢/text). Messages are also visible to account administrators. If you are interested in live tracking, please inquire at the time of your rental request.

First Aid Kits (3 kits available)

Inspect and be sure your kit is complete before entering the field.
Inform daniel.carolan@usu.edu of any elements of the first aid kit you use (for the purpose of restocking).
