Education and Outreach

Part of the UtahView mission is dedicated to improving the availability and use of geospatial curricula in K-12 schools, both public and private, throughout Utah. UtahView works with local groups to expose students to geospatial topics through site visits to campus research facilities as well as visiting schools and teachers across the state of Utah. These visits allow students to engage researchers and scientists in one-on-one visits with ample time to explore topics of interest and ask questions. If your school is interested in geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, global positioning systems, or small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS), feel free to contact us for resources and school visits.
