Welcome to the Diet, Food/Nutrition, and Chronic Diseases Lab
Our research focuses on dietary quality and patterns, food/nutrition insecurity, and chronic conditions (type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, HIV, etc.). We also use validated methods to screen and diagnose disease-related malnutrition in adults and older adults in primary care settings. Additional research areas include developing, validating, and implementing digital health technologies to prevent and manage chronic diseases in underserved populations.
