Biography

Dr. Julie K. Young's research program at Utah State University focuses on the behavior, ecology, and management of terrestrial mammals to reduce human-wildlife conflicts and increase coexistence. While her work primarily focuses on conflicts between people and carnivores, she has also worked on beavers, ungulates, tortoises, marine mammals, and birds. Julie also enjoys teaching undergraduate and graduate classes and serving as the Director of the Berryman Institute.

Teaching Interests

Julie teaches undergraduate and graduate classes at Utah State University.

Research Interests

Research from the Young lab includes basic and applied ecological studies.
