The college MyUSU group can also be a powerful tool. Students are automatically added to the MyUSU group, so your events can reach a wide audience. All members can to submit calendar events.

Posting Posters and Flyers

To put up flyers or posters in buildings, ask for Department or Dean's Office approval. Consider using a USU template found in Canva.com (info below). Flyers are only allowed in designated spots such as bulletin boards or display cases. Please do not hang anything on the walls or doors.

Design with Canva.com

Canva is an easy-to-use layout and design tool. Use it to create announcements, flyers, posters, digital signs, newsletters, and more. Contact our office to get on the QANR Pro account for access to the USU Brand Kit. Or sign up for a free account with any email.

When your design is finished, export it by clicking “Share” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and “Download” near the bottom of the dropdown menu. Download as a PNG for use on the screen and a PDF for printing.

  • Every official project needs a logo (especially for external audiences)
  • Only use the official USU logos found in this folder. Don't create your own.
  • Use logos over a solid color or a screen to make them easy to read (no busy backgrounds).
  • Don't crowd the logo. Leave a clear area around it.
  • Don't use prominent red on USU flyers or posters. (Yep, this is a real rule).

More questions? See the USU Brand Office rules or ask us for clarification.

Design Approvals

To get design approval for a finished project, begin by emailing a copy to Lynnette Harris.
