Biography

Noah grew up in rural Central Wisconsin teaching his community about the roots of their local food systems and sharing his deep love for the land. Noah earned BS degrees in Biochemistry and Biology at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, and received the highest recognition of achievement at the University, the Albertson Medallion, for exemplifying outstanding qualities as a leader, scholar, and citizen. While earning his PhD in Plant Science at Utah State, Noah created a highly regarded course on hydroponics that he taught for four years. Noah believes that “No matter the problem, education is the solution.”

Teaching Interests

Noah enjoys teaching basic solution chemistry and plant physiology to students to help them improve their understanding of the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum.

Research Interests

Noah is interested in elucidating the mineral nutrition interactions in recirculating plant growth systems. He hopes to use knowledge of these interactions to optimize fertilizer solutions and increase crop production sustainability in controlled environments.
