SNAC Assistance

By using the SNAC food pantry, you agree to the following:

Signature Icon
  1. You are a current USU student, staff, or faculty member with a valid USU A number.
  2. Patrons are allowed to visit SNAC once per calendar week as needed.
  3. Upon entry, you are required to swipe your USU ID. This allows us to track information for reporting and funding purposes and is not used to identify individual patrons.
  4. Please only take one of each item, unless otherwise specified.
  5. Please do not stockpile food.
  6. Do not sell food or other items you receive from the pantry.
  7. The food here can be expired. Please view Utah Food Bank’s Safe Food Donation and General Consumption Guidelines to learn more about expired food.
  8. If you have dependent children for whom you are also seeking food, we ask that you attend the community food pantry. They will be able to assist based on family size rather than USU A#.
  9. The bread and pastries are from local bakeries and are at least a day old. This bread contains little to no preservatives, like the kind you would find at the grocery store, so we suggest ensuring there is no mold, freezing it in portions, and taking it out of the freezer as needed.
  10. As a SNAC patron, you will be sent occasional emails and a survey each semester.
  11. Please be courteous to all SNAC staff, volunteers, and patrons through respectful language, waiting for your turn in line (no cutting), and respecting the space between patrons.
  12. If you need long-term assistance, we suggest applying for the Supplemental Nutrition Access Program (SNAP). SNAC can help with this; ask us how.
  • I acknowledge that the food I receive from the Student Nutrition Access Center is donated, sorted and packaged by volunteers, and may contain potential food allergens.
  • I recognize that some foods from SNAC may be past their expiration date or contain potential food allergens, and it is my choice whether to use them or not. Therefore, I release the Student Nutrition Access Center, its employees, volunteers, community partners, and any donor from any claim associated with the products provided to me.
  • Selling food or other items you receive from the pantry will result in being suspended or banned from using the pantry.
