Seminar and Discussion: Agriculture Without Borders Jim Suits of the USDA Foreign Agriculture Services. American farmers are an important element in global food security and do much to feed the world. That doesn’t happen by itself. Just as the U.S. Department of Agriculture assists farmers with production, marketing, distribution, and information in the United States, USDA also works around the world to ensure that America’s bounty supports food security worldwide.
