Biography
Lindsay is a Ph.D. student in the Fish Ecology Lab working with Dr. Phaedra Budy, and is a fish biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Southwest Biological Science Center at the Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center. Her research focuses on understanding the environmental drivers of fish populations in the Colorado River Basin, particularly how water storage and reservoir operations influence native fish population dynamics, growth and distribution. Lindsay graduated with a BS in Conservation Science and a BA in Fine Art from University of California Berkeley in 2016, a MA in Biology from Miami University in 2021, and a MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University in 2021. She has worked as an elementary school teacher, whale watching guide, trail builder and field technician. Lindsay is passionate about creative science communication and enjoys blending research with art and illustration to make science engaging and accessible.
