Katia Quezada Villa is an M.S. Student in Ecology. As a member of Dr. Atwood's lab, Katia's work focuses on how chronic low salinity exposure affects behavior, fecundity and physiology in Dwarf cuttlefish. Katia received her B.S. In Biology from Brigham Young University in 2021, where she participated in several aquatic invertebrate research projects (marine crabs and snails, freshwater crayfish). Prior to starting her Master's degree at USU, she worked as a Saltwater Aquarist at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for marine life and ocean ecosystems, as well as finding a new passion for scuba diving. In her free time, Katia enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming and volunteering.
