August 18-22

Monday 18 August - Cutler Marsh and Welcome Dinner

● 8:30 am  Load vans (parking lot behind NR building)
● 9:00 am  Arrive at Benson Marina and pump up paddle boards
● 9:30 am  Wetland bingo
● 11:00 am  Pack up
● 11:30 am  Leave Benson Marina
● 6:00 pm Welcome dinner at Edd Hamill and Trisha Atwood’s home

Tuesday 19 August – Logan Canyon/Bear Lake (camping)

● 7:45  Load vans (parking lot behind NR building)
● 8:30 – 9:15 Drive to Temple Fork
● 9:15 – 11:30 Spawn Creek Hike: instream habitat restoration and beavers      (Wheaton)
● 11:30 – 12:30 Lunch at the fish sampling pull-out
● 12:30 – 4:30 Fish and Invertebrate Monitoring (rotate 2 hr ea.; Saunders, Hawkins, Caudillo)
● 5:00ish Drive to Bear Lake State Park - Rendezvous Beach, Cottonwood A Group Sites. Overnight.
● 7:00  Dinner with WILD incoming graduate students

Wednesday 20 August – Tetons (camping)

● 7:00 – 8:00 Breakfast (coffee available at 6:30AM) 
● 9:30 -11:30 Fish Ecology at Bear Lake Marina (Teal)   
● Snorkeling and discussion
● 11:30 - 12:00 Lunch
● 12:00 - 4:00 Drive to Tetons (Lunch in the car)
● 4:00 - 6:00 Jenny Lake Shuttle and Alpine Hydrology Hike (Hotaling). It is a 10-minute shuttle to cross the lake. The last shuttle leaves at 7 pm.
● 6:30  Dinner at Camp, Gros Ventre Campground, Group Site: C

Thursday 21 August – Tetons (camping)

● 8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast (coffee available around 7:00 AM)
● 9:00   Depart for Jackson Lake Dam
● Belmont/Wheaton/Scamardo geomorph discussion
● 10:30  Arrive at Pacific Creek, run shuttle, safety talk
● 11:30 - 4:00 Float Pacific Creek to Deadman’s Bar (Wheaton/Belmont/Scamardo, lunch by OP)
● 4:00   Optional: Granite Creek Hike (2mi)
● 6:30  Dinner and Camp, Gros Ventre Campground, Group Site: C

Friday 22 August – Tetons (return to Logan)

● 7:00 – 7:45 Breakfast (coffee available at 6:30AM)
● 7:45 - 8:30 Load vans
● 10:00 – 2:00 Float Alpine reach of the Snake River (Lunch provided by OP at end of float)
● 2:00 – 5:00 Return to Logan
