Leadership Development Program

The Western Ranch Management Academy (WRMA) strengthens ranch and natural resource management in the Intermountain West through practical, science-based education and professional development. Its seminars, led by nationally recognized experts, provide research-based information to help livestock producers and resource managers address the biological, economic, environmental, and human dimensions of ranch management. With generous support from the Mike and Melissa Schultz Family Foundation, and additional support from Partners for Fish and Wildlife, WRMA is offering Professional Development Awards to ten early-career livestock producers and ranch or natural resource managers. Each award covers full tuition for one WRMA quarterly seminar and provides $500 toward travel expenses.

Recipients will be selected based on their commitment to ranch and resource management, leadership potential, and plans to apply what they learn. Applicants should submit a brief essay describing their professional background, career goals, and how attending the seminar would benefit their operation, organization, or community.
